Over the last couple of years, the world has become increasingly globalized. After the cold war, all parts of the world were attracted to the process of globalization. The effect of globalization is uneven in different parts of the world and globalization suggests a world full of persistent cultural interaction and exchange, contacts and connection, mixture and movement. Different people view globalization in different ways. Some people feel it has done more good than harm, while others believe it has done more harm than good. This essay will give a deep intuitive understanding of globalization, world systems, and how globalization has affected society, culture, economics, and politics. Globalization can be defined as the international†¦show more content†¦Also, if there was a country that believed that men should go through rites of passage and they became globalized, they will lose that aspect of their culture because in other globalized countries, that is not done. More so, globalization supports neoliberalism which is the privatizing everything that is done by the government which will eventually lead to poverty, making the society regressive so that the rich get richer and the poor poorer, reducing government regulations, and so on. Globalization also brings about inequality because the globalized countries will feel that they are higher in level than other countries which are not globalized leading to an inequality between countries. in addition, globalization leads to the depletion of the natural environment that is because the country is globalized, they would want to build more industries which will make them cut down trees and clear forests thereb y making the country lose its naturality. Various organizations and groups resist globalization which includes; Freecycle, Green party, Race Against the Machine, The Yes Man, and so on. There are also people who resist globalization such as; Michel Foucault, Jello Biafra, Slavoy Zizek, Naomi Klein, Michael Moore, Vandana Shiva, and many more.
